IT Analyst

The healthcare field continues to rapidly advance, and become more complex and interconnected.  We are here to support our Clients by providing superior revenue cycle management. We are hiring an IT Analyst responsible for managing the daily operations of Practicefirst's computer networks. He/She will be constantly analyzing, monitoring and creatively solving issues, while looking for ways to improve processes in an ever-changing field with current outsourced IT management company. Reports to the President.



  • Manage day-to-day IT infrastructure and operations

  • Provide help desk support to our employees and clients for network troubleshooting activities, connectivity issues, PC issues and general IT support

  • Diagnose and fix problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software, and systems. Recognize and elevate issues of significant technical nature

  • Monitor network, equipment, servers, and systems to improve performance

  • Analyze and monitor server security and make recommendations or implement patches/fixes to address potential security holes

  • Setup user accounts, systems, permissions and passwords; train team members on new hardware, software or systems

  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks

  • Maintain network servers, VPN gateways, network facilities including printers, faxes

  • Perform and/or oversee interface processes for charges and demographics

  • Support the commitment to ensure the security of patient health information and client financial information

  • Consult with Practicefirst clients to specify system requirements

  • Provide on-call and weekend support when needed; ability to work remotely using remote IT tools; on-site off hours as required

  • Provide tracking and measurement of activities and completion of tasks

  • Assumes other responsibilities as requested


Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, skilled in sharing information with peers and supervision. Ability to prepare user documentation and train.

  • Multi-tasking while maintaining calm demeanor.

  • Ability to prioritize based on business requirements and impact on company operations

  • Analytical thinker

  • Adapt well to new techniques and technologies, willing to learn and evolve.

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Excel and basic UNIX again.

  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Education Requirement

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience Requirement

  • 3 years' of relevant IT experience

  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation

  • Experience with helpdesk or IT support

  • Ability to setup and configure server hardware
